The particle theory of matter was not so much discovered as it was formulated, and that formulation began in ancient Greece. The person who is credited with having conceived of the idea that the world is composed of tiny, indivisible particles is the philosopher Democritus, who lived from 460 to 370 BCE.

• Objective Truth is what exists and can be proved in this physicality.
• Normative Truth is what we, as a group, agree is true.
• Subjective Truth is how the individual sees or experiences the world.

There are often said to be five main ‘theories of truth’: correspondence, coherence, pragmatic, redundancy, and semantic theories.

The concept of truth is another form of abstract noun, but this time it represents an attribute—a thing is either true or not true, in a similar way to that in which it is either blue or not blue. Truth is therefore grammatically a noun, but it is used to encode an Attribute.

Does Moral Truth Exist? The most common view among scientists and philosophers is that moral truth does not exist – only moral opinion, and that our ethical “absolutes” merely express our emotions or attitudes of approval and disapproval.

Alethic relativism (also factual relativism) is the doctrine that there are no absolute truths, i.e., that truth is always relative to some particular frame of reference, such as a language or a culture (cultural relativism). Some forms of relativism also bear a resemblance to philosophical skepticism.
