Rising Thunder was announced in 2015 but cancelled in March the following year after Radiant was acquired by Riot Games which promptly shut down the project. However, “inspired” by efforts from the community to bring back the game, Radiant has released the code.

We will be closing the Rising Thunder Alpha on March 18th. The Rising Thunder team will start work on a new game that we’re incredibly excited about. We wish we could say more now, but rest assured you’ll hear more when the time is right. Our other game, Stonehearth, will go on full speed ahead.

Vanguard can be turned off at any time, though it will place your computer in an “untrusted mode” and will need to be turned back on in order to play Valorant. “You can uninstall or stop Vanguard to allow your software to work, but that will have the side effect of not allowing VALORANT to work until you reboot.”

Uninstall and Reinstall Vanguard This is the main fix Riot recommends when dealing with any Vanguard problems, since the VALORANT client itself might not be the root cause of the issue. Riot is making big changes to Valorant’s anti-cheat system. Here’s what’s new. Valorant, Riot Games’ class-based tactical shooter, uses its own anti-cheat software called Vanguard that runs in the background.

Riot Games released a patch for Valorant’s anticheat Vanguard, which the developer says will stop the program from blocking essential drivers. The fix comes nearly a week after WIN. Most of the previously blocked drivers should now work.

According to the official Valorant Twitter account, some drivers have been identified as “cheat-vulnerable”, which means Vanguard blocks them automatically. The fix, according to Riot, will make most of the previously-blocked drivers work, although some “egregious ones” are still causing the game not to start.

Riot finally introduced the AFK penalty system in a recent patch to tackle this issue efficiently. This system sorts out those who go AFK or abandon the team before a game ends, eventually giving them a game’s ban if the attitude keeps recurring.

What happens if you leave Unrated Valorant? Players who abandon matchmade games, or dodge agent selects, will now experience penalties that prevent them from queuing for a period of time. Frequent offenders will experience higher queue time penalties.

Keep in mind that there are penalties for leaving a match early. Some bans are temporary and can last anywhere between a few minutes to a few hours. Repeat offenders may eventually get a permanent ban.
