The reason Charlie chose to die was because that was the way Desmond said it was meant to happen. Flip the switch, drown, Claire and Aaron get saved. After he flipped the swtich and realized Mikhail was about to break the Looking Glass, he knew that this was Desmond’s vision – his destiny.

Ben killed Locke because Locke needed to die in order to be reborn, but could not die by his own hand. Locke needed to accept his fate, but not hasten it (i.e. by suicide). Ben has a role to play just like everyone else; he’s been privy to this role for longer, though, and thus is much more resigned to it.

Michael Dawson is a fictional character played by Harold Perrineau on the ABC television series Lost. Michael is one of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 who crashes on the show’s mysterious island. He returns to the Island on a freighter, but is killed when a bomb on it explodes.

Back in season four, Claire was taken away mysteriously by her dead(?) father, Christian, leaving her son Aaron behind, who was taken off the island by Kate as one of the Oceanic Six. Later, Locke (the real Locke… I think) met Christian and Claire inside Jacob’s cabin, but something was certainly off about her.

So the “Others” put a lot of efforts into Claire’s baby… they wanted her baby at all cost… for what? They needed to know how her baby was born and what made it special. All the previous pregnant women died, iirc.

Finally we found out in the previous episode of LOST that the father of Sun’s baby is Jin, NOT the man she had an affair with. Juliet takes Sun, in the middle of the night, to a fertility station on the island. That is where Juliet does the ultra-sound on Sun’s baby.

Jack and Claire Even then he didn’t tell Claire his name because she said she didn’t want him to. She tells Jack about her affair with his father and their daughter, Claire, causing Jack to finally realise his relation to Claire.

Knew that he could hang Charlie, nearly killing him, but that the Island would heal him quickly enough that he wouldn’t be in any real danger. The main purpose was to stop Jack and Kate from following him and Claire, or at least to slow them down.

At Christian Shephard’s memorial service, Carole Littleton, who has recovered from her coma, tells Jack she and Christian had a relationship which produced Claire, revealing her to be Jack’s half-sister. Eventually, before departing to return to the island, Kate reveals to Carole that Aaron is Claire’s son.

When he returned, he shot Ana Lucia and Libby in order to release Benjamin Linus from captivity, and caused the capture of Jack, Sawyer, and Kate, meeting his end of the deal he had made with the Others in return for Walt.

The episode sees Boone Carlyle (Ian Somerhalder) experience a vision quest, believing his stepsister Shannon (Maggie Grace) to be dead. Through a series of flashbacks, it is revealed that Boone is in love with Shannon, and that they slept together prior to crashing on the island.
