Delta sent the director general of its research center, Dr. Tzi-cker Chiueh, to explain the technology, which he said measures the flight time and angle of arrival of radio waves sent by Wi-Fi devices to locate objects. It's not new—Cisco has built access points to do it.
This application seems to take things further by also measuring how objects change in near real time.
