Yeah the front should fit fine and I would personally find a store that sells a roll of mesh and just bolt it in from the back of the bumper than spending $100 on a new one that has the bowtie, but you can.

On September 28, 2012, GM announced a recall of 40,859 cars including the Chevrolet Cobalt from the 2007-09 model year because of a potential fuel leak. We have found our Cobalt to be safe and reliable. While it is basic, it is also uncomplicated and easy to drive.
