Wuthering Waves has one of the most powerful combat systems in the gacha game genre. One of the combat aspects of Wuthering Waves is the Echoes, which have various abilities and can provide a significant combat advantage when used correctly. Here is a complete guide on what Echoes are and how to catch them in Wuthering Waves.

[Wuthering Waves] – ECHO SYSTEM GUIDE! COMPLETE DISTRIBUTION & EXPLANATION!

In Wuthering Waves, you can defeat normal enemies and capture them as Echoes after defeat. Many Boss enemies can also become Echoes, and each Echo has unique abilities. Additionally, each Echo has a different rarity, ranging from 2-star to 5-star. The 5-star Echoes have more substat slots and have higher levels.

Like artifacts or relics in Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, you can also level up your echoes to increase their base stats. Catching echoes in-game also updates the database in Wuthering Waves, providing completion rewards.

Echoes can be equipped with resonators and they provide a boost to base stats such as HP, Attack or Energy Regeneration. Farming Echoes for specific stats on various resonators will become one of the main game loops in Wuthering Waves, similar to farming artifacts. In addition to the base stat boost, each Echo has an active ability. This ability can be used by the resonator in battle and can turn the battle when used correctly.
