Union Level is the main way your progress in Wuthering Waves is measured. As you progress through the game, your union level will increase and it will affect pretty much every aspect of the game. Union Level directly affects World Level, and World Level determines how difficult the game will be and what drops you get.
The biggest breaking point in Union Levels can be felt when you reach Union Level 40. Many consider this to be the beginning of Wuthering Wave's endgame. Enemies will start to feel much harder, and the drops you get will be much better.
That said, there are certain things that everyone should have done before reaching level 40. The endgame of Wuthering Waves is a lot of fun, but only if you're well prepared.
