Although there are several options for an Apple Watch band in the market, the most unique and feature-packed Apple Watch band/accessory would be the wrist camera. Launched in 2020, this smart Apple Watch band came with a dual-camera setup so users can record high-quality videos with their wearables. Well now, Wristcam owners will be happy to hear that they can also make video calls from their wrists, thanks to a new feature for Wristcam. Check out the details below.

How to video call on Apple Watch | Wristband camera

Wristcam recently announced a new video calling feature for its camera-based watch band for the Apple Watch. This means Wristcam users will now be able to make video calls from their wrists without needing their iPhones. You can check out a short promo video from the company, showcasing the new feature, attached just below.

Although it's worth mentioning that the video calls will be on Wristcam's own app instead of FaceTime. Although the Apple Watch currently supports FaceTime audio calls, support for video calls was missing due to the lack of a built-in camera.

However, the new Wristcam feature is currently in "early access" for those users who request it from the company's official website. As for the full availability of the feature, the company says it is currently working with a variety of developers to further improve it. After better support and compatibility, Wristcam will release the feature to all its users sometime in the coming weeks.
