Since the dolls are all the same height (18 inches), and pretty much the same size, their clothes and shoes fit all of the dolls.

They have hard vinyl limbs and head and a cuddly body made from skin tone nylon filled with new polyester fibre. Their bodies are filled enough so that they remain tactile to hold but they also stand up on their own easily. The dolls can turn their heads and their limbs move backwards and forwards in the sockets.

While the structure of each doll is very similar, there are some slight differences. Overall, the quality of American Girl surpasses Our Generation but not by a lot. The mechanics of the American Girl dolls work better than the opposing i.e. the legs, arms and head have better mobility.

American Girl and Our Generation Dolls Can Share Since the dolls are all the same height (18 inches), and pretty much the same size, their clothes and shoes fit all of the dolls. Our Generation® dolls are 18-inches tall, making them comparable to American Girl® dolls. The American Girl® doll also has a slightly longer torso than the OG doll.

It depends on the girl. Most kids are still playing with “kid toys” at an age when they wouldn’t be comfortable with their peers knowing they were still doing it. I would guess it’s around 12–15 for most girls, with a lot of variance depending on interests and personality.

Do not put Our Generation clothes in a washing machine or tumble dryer because this will ruin them! Instead, wet the top of a Q-tip and wipe of any spots or stains on her clothes. To wash a whole Our Generation outfit, you could place it in a bowl of cold water for a couple of minutes, then leave it to air dry.

Do no put any OG doll, clothing, or accessory in the washing machine, dryer or near any direct heat source. For braided styles, tightly braiding the doll’s hair while damp will help control frizzy ends. Avoid using styling products like gel or mousse, as this may damage the doll’s hair.

Battat

1. Get a big bowl and fill it half way with cool water.
2. Add ¼ teaspoon of baby shampoo.
3. Cover the doll’s body with a plastic bag to keep it dry.
4. Turn the doll upside down, swirl it around until her hair is completely wet.
5. Gently work the shampoo into her hair.
